"Just when you think you've challenged your body and know your limitations, leave it to the folks at Aloft to change your perspective."
Aloft Loft Policies (please read before registering)
Auto-enroll and auto-bill:
-
If you are registered for a session class, you will be auto-enrolled for the following month when that schedule is created on the 15th of the month. If you want to pro-rate, cancel, or switch classes, email aloftmakeups@gmail.com
-
On the 25th of the month you will be auto-billed for the coming session if you have a card on file. If you do not have a card on file, this is the last day to pay your balance before you are canceled from class. You can do this by clicking "Pay Tuition Balance" from the main menu. If you do not do either you will be canceled from class and risk losing your spot to incoming students or folks on the waitlist.
Make-Up Policy:
-
You must email aloftmakeups@gmail.com to receive a makeup. Only one makeup per session will be given.
-
If you cancel your class with at least 24 hours notice you may take a makeup class in your regular level and class, subject to availability. You may also use this makeup for any drop in class. If you late cancel (less than 24 hours) you can still do a make up, but only as an open gym or for a drop-in class - handstands, stretching, or conditioning. If you no call/no show, you lose your makeup for that class.
-
Make-up classes never expire as long as you remain enrolled in classes at Aloft! Make-up slots are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
-
Please email your requests to aloftmakeups@gmail.com to makeup in a regular apparatus class. You can self book in drop in classes and choose Punchcard and the makeup as the payment method.
-
If an instructor or Aloft needs to cancel a class, the instructor will schedule a make-up class at a mutually agreeable time or give account credit/ assign a makeup credit.
Tardiness:
-
Owing to the importance of a proper warm up due to safety and injury prevention, students more than 10 minutes late will be allowed to observe their class, but not be allowed to participate.
Proper Attire:
-
No jewelry (earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, etc). Any body piercings that come into contact with the equipment must be taped. No clothing with zippers, hooks or anything that might catch and tear the fabric or your skin. Clothing that is stretchy but not baggy, and fully covers your knees, armpits and waist is recommended.
Registration/Class Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy
-
If less than 4 students register for a class, that class may be cancelled. Students will have the option of a refund or to have it credited towards a future class.
-
Aloft does not issue refunds (except as noted above). If a student needs to withdraw from a class due to medical/personal issues, they should contact Sarah immediately, as the amount of credit issued towards a future session is based on the date Aloft has been notified of the withdrawal. A doctor’s note is required to return to classes.
-
Students must give us 30 days notice to fully withdraw from classes at Aloft.
Class Policies
-
Owing to the nature of aerial and circus arts, Aloft’s teachers have full discretion to ask students to observe or excuse students from classes whose behavior they deem disruptive or whom they deem unsafe to participate for any reason. If the problem persists, the student will not be allowed to continue taking classes at Aloft.
-
Aerial and Circus arts are physically and mentally demanding, and have minimum fitness requirements. You should be in good physical condition and be able to pass a doctor’s physical to participate in our classes. Aloft reserves the right to require a doctor’s note and clearance for a student to participate. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us to discuss your situation.
-
Students are welcome to have a guest come and watch one class per session. We do not recommend bringing your children under then age of 16, as they cannot participate in our classes. Parents are responsible for their children’s behavior, and if they become a distraction or are not following the teacher or staff’s instructions, parents will need to leave class at that time.
-
Aerial and Circus arts are physically and mentally challenging. Aloft’s classes are structured so that students must master a skill set before moving up to the next level. A session does not equal a level. Often students take a level at least twice, often more. To move to the next level of an apparatus, a student must receive their instructor’s permission.
Open Gym Policy
-
Open gym is available to currently enrolled students with at least one full session of an Advanced Beginning level class. The student must train that apparatus during open gym.
-
There are no refunds or cancellations for open gym.
